Fire Stopping Surveys is a trading name of RiSKFiX LLP, a registered company (No. OC407139) founded in 2016 by Tom Linstead. We carry out fire stopping and compartmentation surveys for organisations with buildings across the UK. We survey and report what we find, so the people responsible for each building can make informed decisions.
Who are we?
RiSKFiX LLP was founded in 2016 by Tom Linstead. Fire Stopping Surveys is our national service for fire stopping and compartmentation, built for organisations whose buildings are spread across the country.
How do we work?
We survey and report. Every observation is photographed, located and described, with a recommended remedy. We do not grade risk, rank priorities or set timescales: your Responsible Person decides what happens next, with their Fire Risk Assessor. Our reports are records of what we observed, not certificates.
How are our surveyors vetted?
Every surveyor is checked for skills, knowledge, experience and behaviours before we send them to site. We work to safe systems of work in every building, and follow each site's own procedures for permits, inductions, escorts and security.
Which accreditations do we hold?
We are SafeContractor accredited, which is recognised under SSIP (Safety Schemes in Procurement).
